Cleaning the old attic, you knock over a stack of tapes from a shelf. They scatter to the floor in a small heap and you sigh at the thought of more lost time.
The one resting on top calls to you for some unknown reason. Its cover is caked in a thin layer of filth and grime. The coppery smell that pervades the case overpowers the dust in the air. A brush of the hand reveals dozens of labels meticulously scribbled out in black sharpie.
The only one not scrawled over reads "DRIVING INSTRUCTION 1996 COURSE".
You shove the tape into the nearby VCR expecting nothing more than a dry DMV production to tune out while you clean up this latest mess.
As the CRT whines itself alive, you can't help thinking about something rather trivial; your sibling never mentioned wanting to learn to drive.
