Week 2 Landscape
A 3D recreation of the opening scene of a 2001 game I played at a Lego obsessed age (I didn't really care how good the games were, just whether they were Lego themed). I think it was a point and click adventure game, go around weird places, pick up stuff, solve a puzzle. It sort of creeps in the back of mind like Myst, half remembered. Kinda of want to do another play-through but at the same time I think that would ruin a bit of the allure that it still has to me.

It was really fun to add dynamic transitions between the terrain, since the original game uses hard cuts between moving. It was also interesting to see how the artist had laid out the space between each panel and kept a consistent sense of spatial awareness. I was able to extend the ocean through some editing of the water's stats. The seagulls have spatial sound assigned to them, so the closer you get to the statue, the louder they are, like in the original game. If I had more time I would fine tune the terrain tool and the mountains themselves.
